We've all heard this word many times, particularly as a reference to healthy eating. But why its so important for us to think of such stuff, and why we cannot just enjoy our meals without thinking twice. Proteins are known as biochemical compounds in form of long chains each segment of which is an amino acid. The unique combination of this acids makes different kinds of protein, many of them are very important of human’s body well been. But the most important for us are the nine of certain amino acids that the body can not synthesize itself. To be healthy we should receive these agents with food.

There two types of protein we can get from food

  • Complete. This kind we get from animal products such as meat and milk. The name “complete” refers to the fact that these sources provide us with proteins containing all nine essential amino acids.

  • Incomplete. This kind of proteins are derived from vegetable sources and supposed to have less number of acids.

Does vegetarians than harm themselves not getting enough amino acids? Not. The fact is that different vegetables and fruits contains different combination of acids, so in order to get all necessary protein vegetarians have to consume wide variety of fruit and veggie.
